Inaugration of the Zambia Youth Network

Yesterday 15th of June 2006 was a historical day in the history of
Zambian youth movement as 120 young people from all corners of Zambia
gathered and officially inaugrated the National Nouth Network on Population and Development (NYPD). The Inaugration was done by the Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Hon George Chulumanda who most of you met in Lusaka last year in December and some notable people presents where the Permanant Secretary from (MYSCD), UNFPA country representative, National AIDS Council, National Youth Development Council, World Health Organisation, Commonwealth Youth Programs Africa Region Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a
number of Embassies.

The Government and other stakeholders present at the Inaugration
pledged full support to the network and the young people present
where very keen to seen to it that the network grows. It was covered
by all the Media Institution in the country Television, Radio and
Newspapers.

We are very proud to have our network functional now and to join other countries who have there networks in place.
